Kirk’s Wharf was inspired by the modeling of Troels Kirk, a Swedish landscape artist who is building a model railroad reflecting the coast line railroads of America’s northeast (http://coastline.no13.se/ ). One of his areas is model he calls Cranberry Wharf. His initial drawings inspired me to build a wharf module to join with others in our module club. The following pictures show Kirk’s Wharf and its buildings during construction and completed. My intent is to capture a working wharf in all of its weathered condition. This module is now incorporated into my Home Layout. Read more about my modules in the 2011 On30 Annual magazine: http://carstensbookstore.com/2011on30annual.html
